We want to thank everyone who brought baked goods to sell and who came out to help sell the delicious treats in the sweltering heat. We had a nice shady spot near the area where our “Guards without H2O” organized some water-filled games to help keep kids cool.
The Dolphins raised just under $300, which was quite a bit less than we had made in the shivering cold of Family Day but we attributed that to the smaller amount of baking (so many Dolphins were away this past weekend) and the heat: given the choice between the ice cream trolley (who set up beside us) and a cupcake, most kids went for the ice cream. That said, we sold nearly every crumb!!
We look forward to a bigger turnout of Dolphins families (baking and people to work) on Canada Day to help make our BBQ and Bakesale a success! An email will go out shortly with more information.
Look forward to seeing you all at T-shirt day this afternoon at 4:30pm (just before the 10 and unders practice) in Westmount Park (behind the playground where the swimmers did
We also look forward to cheering our swimmers on Wednesday night at Beaurepaire Pool!
