SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER FOR DOLPHINS 2016!

What a great summer we had! Summer 2015 just flew by!

We swam fast and moved from 5th place in A to 4th place in A division! At ALPS Swimming Finals we placed 8th overall out of 21 teams and at ALPS Swimming Console Finals we placed 2nd overall! We came out of our first season in regular season Diving in 5th place overall in B division.  A pretty great finish for a club so new to the sport! Plus we entered divers in both the Novice Divers' meets AND the Diving Finals!  We challenged our synchro swimmers with TWO big meets this year and they persevered.  And finally with small and budding waterpolo teams we managed to attend the two junior tournaments:  the atom and the bantam tournaments!  WAY TO GO DOLPHINS!

These big team achievements are nothing compared to all the great individual achievements that every child made this summer.  You know what you have done: tried new things, achieved goals, mastered new skills, honed skills you were having trouble with.  These are the achievements that motivate kids to continue in aquatics sports.  We hope you will keep up with your sports in whatever way that you can this winter.

We want to thank all the Dolphins Coaches for developing our athletes this summer and inspiring them to become aquatics athletes.  You are the foundation of this program and we appreciate what you do. WAY TO GO DOLPHINS COACHES!

We want to thank all the volunteers for their generosity this summer.  Aquatics sports require an army of dedicated parents and fans behind the scenes who get the job done.  The Dolphins program cannot succeed without you, and like the kids, you met the challenge!  WAY TO GO DOLPHINS VOLUNTEERS!

On Saturday night after ALPS Swimming Finals was all said and done, we celebrated our successes with a delicious pot-luck dinner, awards ceremony and a splashing great time in the pool until closing time.

The awards presented can be found on the following link:  AWARDS
If you were absent and did not receive your award, please contact us and we will endeavour to get it to you.

ALPS Swimming Finals were a success and some of the results are already available on our Competitions page of the website.  We are still waiting for the finalized team rankings for Finals and Consolations but these will be posted as soon as they have been approved by the league. Keep checking back. Congratulations to all the swimmers who qualified to this big meet and who gave it their all!

Over the winter season, don't forget about your Dolphins friends. Check back to the website from time to time (records will be updated shortly for example).  Watch your emails for Dolphins messages:  when Dairy Queen closes for the season we usually try to rally as many Dolphins as are available to gather for one last ice cream together for the year. That will be some time in October.

We'll miss you over the winter but always remember:  once a Dolphin, always a Dolphin!
