Tonight at 4pm Dolphins are invited to take a quick dip in the pool.
Hello Dolphins,
Hope you are settling into your school and winter activities. We know that many of you are swimming with your winter teams so we know you will be improving lots before next summer. We have some exciting news to share with you! As you may have heard, hockey started this weekend at the new WRC. But what you may not know: the pool is almost ready. In fact, this week the pool will be filled and tested and if all goes well, they will be inviting some Dolphins to come and jump in the pool! It will probably be a last minute request and they may limit the number of swimmers we can invite, but we will keep you all posted. We are very excited to finally see the end of this project and we know you will all be pleased with the result! In other news, the Dolphins have officially been chosen by our ALPS league to host finals next summer on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Mark this date on your calendars because we will need all Dolphins families to help with this important and exciting event. We want to give the teams in our league a real treat: our famous Dolphins’ hospitality, a chance to thank them for all their generous hospitality when we were “pool-less”, and to show off our new digs! Also next summer, in June, we will kick off the swimming season for one and all with the long-awaited Aquatics Festival. This will be a “swim-a-thon” fundraiser for all those who love the water to contribute in a real way to the WRC campaign. We also hope it will create a lot of excitement and interest in all things Aquatic: new programming in a beautiful new facility. We will have more information in the weeks to come and we want to encourage you all to help with this signature event as well. If you would be interested in helping with one of the planning committees for either the Aquatics Festival or ALPS Finals, please let us know. Watch for further news about the WRC and a chance to jump in the pool! Go Dolphins Go! |
